SKILLS TO BE DEVELOPED
- The Master's program will equip students with skills for managing organizations in the aeronautics sector, addressing the challenges of transforming the industry in relation to sustainability in air transport, aligning with the goals and objectives of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
- Promote exposure to best practices in sustainability management across various subsectors and domains of aviation, aeronautics, and air transport.
- Develop an integrated, current, and innovative perspective in the fields of business sustainability and air transport systems.
- Stimulate applied research in aviation, aeronautics, and air transport, aiming to solve sustainability issues in line with the EU's zero carbon footprint challenge for 2050.
SPECIFIC GOALS
The student will acquire in-depth knowledge of sustainable management in the organizational and environmental aspects of the aeronautical sector, encompassing airports, airlines, the aeronautical industry, and air navigation. They will:
- Understand, master, and manage the mechanisms of business sustainability and the air transport system, and the interdependence of its components.
- Evaluate regulatory, economic, professional, and political infrastructure related to sustainability across various sources.
- Analyze and propose management and planning measures for sustainability in civil aviation companies and entities.
- Equip students for roles of high technical complexity, both domestically and internationally.
TARGET AUDIENCE
Candidates for executive positions in airports, airlines, and companies associated with aviation in general (commercial concessionaires, Air Navigation Service Providers, aeronautical industry manufacturers, construction companies, handling companies, security firms, maintenance companies, equipment suppliers, etc.) in the following areas:

Candidates must comply with Article 4 of the General Regulations for Master's Degrees at ISEC Lisboa. Therefore, they may apply if they meet one of the following criteria:
- Holders of a bachelor's degree or legal equivalent.
- Holders of a foreign higher academic degree obtained following a 1st cycle of studies organized according to the principles of the Bologna Process by a participating state.
- Holders of a foreign higher academic degree recognized as meeting the objectives of a bachelor's degree by the Technical-Scientific Council.
- Holders of a school, scientific, or professional curriculum recognized as demonstrating the capacity to undertake this cycle of studies by the Technical-Scientific Council.

- Regular monitoring and oversight: The academic department provides ongoing monitoring of students and prepares progress reports;
- Assessment exams through which students demonstrate their learning.
