SKILLS TO BE DEVELOPED
The Short Cycle in Operations with Unmanned Aerial Vehicles is designed for students who want to pursue a career in the new world of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The course includes a comprehensive curriculum comprising general training, basic aviation classes and UAV piloting, as well as mission management, planning and supervision for data and image collection/capturing and processing, critical to a variety of applications that can replace human intervention, making tasks simpler, safer and more economical.
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
- Plan, prepare and supervise missions of data or image collection/capturing using unmanned aircrafts.
- Plan, prepare and supervise missions for technical inspections of structures and buildings using unmanned aircrafts.
- Plan, prepare and supervise mapping and surveying missions using unmanned aircrafts.
- Verify, compile and process the data acquired by UAVs.
- Plan, prepare and supervise air surveillance missions (search and rescue, forest, coastal and border surveillance) using unmanned aircrafts.
- Plan, prepare and supervise missions for the collection of solid, liquid or gas samples in an industrial environment and difficult-access locations, using unmanned aircrafts.
- Plan, prepare and supervise transport missions in difficult-access locations using unmanned aircraft.
