SKILLS TO BE DEVELOPED
Guide, support and supervise children, as well as plan, design and implement activities and support strategies for children that lead to comprehensive training in the affective, cognitive and psychomotor domains.
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
To follow and to supervise the development of pedagogical activities with children; to promote overall well-being and the personal and social education of children; to design pedagogical, ludic, extracurricular, leisure activities, especially aimed at the full development of children; to plan, implement and assess projects, or to collaborate in their streamlining; to design, produce and develop educational support resources for child care; to integrate multidisciplinary teams with functions aimed towards child care; elaborate and implement the application of techniques and methodologies that involve the artistic languages as actions tools.
TARGET AUDIENCE
+ Students who have completed secondary school (whichever path, with or without national exams)
+ Students over 23 years old (23+ access regime)
+ Students who hold a CET (Technology Specialization Course) diploma
+ Students with Higher Education diplomas (vocational retraining)
MAIN EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES
Child care workers in the educational services of Municipalities, Parishes, Museums, Palaces and Monuments of the DGPC, Libraries, After-School Centers, Schools and Kindergartens, Associations, etc.

EQUIPMENT AND TEACHING MATERIAL
Library; reading room equipped with 4 PC's, printer and internet access; bibliographic collection: over 2000books and 40 journals, in the field of education, are available. Family Relation Test, KIDS - Missouri Kindergarten Inventory, ASEBA, 'crescer' program, pre-verbal communication schedule, Movement ABC, interviews, PEP-R, TICL, ecological assessment inventories. Materials: PIAF, stimulation development materials, balls, mattresses, bows, mirrors, didactic materials of association and classification, ribbons, ropes, pins, bars, didactic games, materials related to symbolic games, constructions, and musical instruments. Audiovisual and other means: camcorder, sound system, computer, projector, one-way mirror, television, etc. Educational material: geography maps, topographical charts, games, anatomical models, atomic and molecular models, rock and mineral collection, geometric solids.
